I wonder how many different recordings by different artists there are of this classic song from The Band? When I got out of the service in 1972 and headed back to Sequim I found some locals that had formed a group "Happy Valley (hippies)" - they worked on a lot of music from The Band and were quite good.

Love these guys. Sad Riley is gone. Got to see them on what ended up being their final tour with High on Fire. Also the last show I went to before the world shut down


Probably my favorite modern thrash band. Damn shame he died. Nightmare Logic is on constant rotation for me. Such a great driving album.

Henryk Gorecki's stunning exaltation of the beauty of sorrow. The first few minutes are hard to hear as it begins with one double bass at the very bottom of its range. Vocals begin around the 13 minute mark
