The lyrics thread is fun. Made me go searching for songs I hadnt heard in a long time.
I'm fortunate in that I can have music on in the background while I work.
Most of it is random from the interwebs....and ive stumbled on quite a few gems.
Like these guys....a groovy Greek jam band called Naxatras.
I just sold 1500 records and made $4000 bucks...bought some speakkers and just thought okay the stores will evenyually make $10000...that is the way it goes...collecting 45 plus years.
I took my 11 and 14 year old daughters to Ellensburg with me to hit the fly shop this afternoon. On the drive from Yakima my 14 year old digs in my console and pulls out Temple Of The Dog. We rocked it all the way to Ellensburg with the windows all the way down at full volume! Winning!
I'm ALL OVER the place on my music these days. Coming from a 80's - 90's hard rock / metal lifestyle it seems pretty foreign.. but I'm enjoying it!
Not sure how popular these guys are in the Pacific NW but they have a pretty unique style and genre that I find appealing. Simple 'meat and potatoes' original sound.. not at all "Southern Rock" as their name and promotions seem to suggest (they actually hail from Arizona) More of a old school local boys indi rock.. an impossible to miss rural vibe to it.
Some of the best is near the end (just post 4 minute mark if your impatient) very cool guitar work.. 'tit for tat' back-n-forth..
