Continuing the Danish seatrout series. Original had grizzly marabou throat but I preferred the hackle; use what you will.

hook - Mustad 9671 #8
thread - Danville 6/0 black
rib - small wire silver
tail - grizzly marabou
body - tinsel silver
hackle - hen grizzly
wing - calftail white
topping - peacock swords

mash barb/start thread; tie in rib, wrap to bend

measure (gap width past bend) a clump of marabou; tie in, wrap to front (1 eye width back from eye), keeping everything as smooth as possible for the tinsel

tie in tinsel; wrap to tail and back with touching turns (use as much tension as you can), tie off/trim

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, cover with thread

tie in (folded) hackle by tip; wrap, tie off/trim

stroke fibers down/back, cover with thread

measure (tips not quite to tail) a sparse clump of calftail; tie in/trim

measure (tips even with wing) some peacock sword fibers

tie in/trim, whip finish, SHHAN

I'm thinkin' of substituting...
A wing of salmon pink or light orange calf tail, under the peacock.
And a throat of white calf tail, inside the grizzly.
Keeping the rest the same, would be a very killing fly.
