SBS Olive Partridge and Brown Variant

hook - Mustad 9671 #8
thread - Danville 6/0 olive
tag - tinsel silver
tail - bronze mallard
rib - small wire silver
body - dubbing olive
body hackle - olive
throat - partridge
wing - bronze mallard
collar - Starburst dubbing olive

mash barb, start thread at 3/4 mark, wrap to bend

tie in tinsel, wrap down bend and back; tie off/trim

tie in rib

measure (shank length) some bronze mallard fibers; tie in/trim

dub thread/dub body

tie in hackle; wrap to bend, wind rib thru hackle, helicopter end, cover with thread

prep partridge, tie in by tip; wrap, tie off/trim

stroke partridge down/back, cover with thread

prep 2 segments of bronze mallard (lay on top of each other), measure (halfway to tip), fold, tie in/trim

dub head

whip finish, SHHAN, give it a scrub

May have to substitute with Ice dub, but gonna tie some of these up soon.
The Ice Dub I had was too light, so I used the stuff from the Dungeon. A bitch to dub with (loop dub would have been easier - next time) but the color was what I was looking for.
