Started out tying Ryan Houston's Myles Peter and ended up in a different place. Gonna try this for skwalas in darker olive tones.

hook - Dai Riki 280 #10
thread - Danville 6/0 light olive
rib - small wire gold
body hackle - olive grizzly
body - dubbing olive
wing - pheasant rump olive
front hackle - pheasant church window olive
collar - aftershaft olive

mash barb, start thread at 3/4 mark; tie in rib, wrap to bend

tie in (folded) hackle by tip

dub thread/dub body to 3/4 mark

palmer hackle forward, sweeping fibers back; tie off/trim

wrap rib thru hackle, helicopter end, cover with thread

trim out tip of rump feather

measure (tips past hackle), tie in/trim

tie in church window feather by tip; wrap, tie off/trim

create loop, wax, insert aftershaft, spin, stroke fibers back with moistened fingers

wrap, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN

Regards,
Scott

This looks a lot like an Irish-style mayfly, except those are usually size 10's and 12's. I think Davie McPhail just posted a few of those.
