A Newfoundland pattern; found this on Fly Fishing Gazette site.

hook - Dai Riki 899 #6
thread - Danville 6/0 black
tag - small wire gold
butt - Uni-Stretch yellow
tail - mallard flank
rib - oval tinsel gold
body - peacock herl
beard - rabbit yellow
underwing - squirrel tail dyed yellow
wing marmot tail (original calls for fitch)
topping - mallard flank

mash barb, start thread at point; tie in wire, wrap to barb

take a few turns of wire, tie off/helicopter end

tie in Uni-Stretch, wrap just past point; tie off/trim

measure (tips to bend) some mallard flank fibers; tie in/trim

tie in rib

tie in peacock, wrap to double wire; tie off/trim

counterwrap rib; tie off/trim

measure (1/2 body) a clump of rabbit; tie in/trim

measure (tips to tag) a sparse clump of squirrel tail; tie in/trim

measure (tips to tail) a sparse clump of marmot (or whatever you wish to use); tie in/trim

prep mallard flank tip

tie in, pull to length (tips even with squirrel tail underwing), tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN
