Man! That is so cool. I met you several weeks ago as we both gave GG a cursory check for morning fish and talked about how all the Cutts were in south sound. Well, you found trout today apparently!! Congratulations!

Also, I did quite a bit of internetting today about steelhead from the beach and figured your fly had to have orange or pink as a predominant color...but nope. Back to square one! Gotta say I love seeing people catching fish I wanna catch. It makes me believe I got a chance if I keep charging ahead :)

They do exist! Many years ago on a cold, misty February morning, I caught a beautiful wild hen steelhead on the beach at Bush Point ...took the big pink streamer I was throwing, and headed back out to sea, but a sea lion intercepted its run and it peeled back toward the beach, with me running down the beach after it, finally bringing it to hand...beautiful, strong fish.
