Bummer. While I disagreed with his political views he was a good owner for the Hawks and the Blazers. Both teams have had a winning culture for a while now and I believe that starts at the top.
A report from SportsBusinessRadio stated that Jody Allen does not want to own and run the teams (Blazers and Seahawks), and that Paul Allen’s estate would look to sell the teams.

Given his ability and passion for looking into the future my guess is he may have had some plan in mind for the future of the Hawks or who might be the beneficiary of the franchise value. It would not surprise me even slightly to find that there will be a major element of community envolvement. I have no idea how that might be structured or administered but If anyone could envision the details of that eventuality it would be someone with the insight of Paul Allen. The entire PNW is poorer without him.
RIP Paul.
He was a genuine Seattle guy. The kind of owner everyone wants for their favorite team. He had a sense of civic duty few team owner's have. He saved the Seahawks from a certain move to LA, and really changed the trajectory of the franchise.
The greediest POS in the history of Seattle sports. And I don't give a shit about the NBA...I tend to like team sports. Wouldn't drink a greedbucks if it was bought for me.
Maybe Steve Balmer buys the Hawks, gets sick of playing second fiddle to the Lakers and moves the Clippers to Seattle to become the Sonics.
Crazier shit has happened.

My personal opinion, for what it's worth, is that the Blazers will wind up in Seattle.PA was the only guy keeping that team in Portland; it's just too small a market to represent the PNW.Plus Seattle's proximity to Canada could draw fans who miss their team. For those not in the know, the Memphis Grizzlies were formerly the Vancouver Grizzlies, which explains why a team from there is called the Grizzlies when the only sightings there are probably at the zoo.Since their only championship was a fluke the NBA has made sure will never happen again perhaps it's time to knock that team on the head and start over.Hope we can get a baseball team as I don't care much for the NBA anymore;I mean, the same two teams in the Finals four times in a row, really?Nothing But Ass-kissing,I'm done with it.I feel the same way about the Clippers; they were never going to win anything as long as they shared a town (and a building) with the Lakers so I get your speculation totally.
I'd rather have the Clippers. We need a Seattle-Portland rivalry. I don't know how Portland's attendance is now but they used to pack the place. It would suck to see their only Pro sports team pulled away like the Sonics were...
Not to change the subject but I will. Has anyone else realized that Jerry Jones doesn't know shit about football? It seems like the dialog in the sports world should be about just how un-savvy he actually is instead of how big his stadium is. Last week he said that he was sticking with Jason Garrett and that Garrett would be their long term answer to success. Really?? Garrett will never win a Super Bowl or probably even get to one. He would be lucky to win a kewpie doll at a carnival.
And his latest move of giving up a desperately needed first round draft pick for an under performing veteran who is currently in concussion protocol is further proof that Jones can't distinguish shit from apple butter.
I love it! That America's Team bs got really old and now I delight in seeing Dallas not able to find their ass with both hands. Jones is the only owner ever egotistical enough to fire a coach that had won consecutive Super Bowls. I would be happy to see that bozo go 6-10 for the next decade, no one deserves to eat crow more than JJ.
Jerry Jones would have more super bowl rings if he was more like Paul Allen as a owner.
He really blew it when he f’d around with Jimmie Johnson.
Barry Switzer can thank Jimmie Johnson for his SB ring.
Showing him multiple times per game makes me want to puke.
The only time I like seeing him on TV is at the end of the game when the Cowboys lose.
Jason Garrett isn’t going to win shit.

Now jj gave 1st. Round pick for Amari "I only show up for every other game" Cooper. Bill Walsh: they call me genious.......jj: they call me idiot......please don't stop!
Portland is doing well there, so I really don't think they will move. Also, they probably are signed into that very nice building for a very long time.
Would it be horrible of me to say, I have a friend who told me he sometimes wishes some CPR was going on when they show Jerry's suite on tv?

Yeah. That is so bad : |
Pro tip: Don't brag about a 3-3 football team in the worst division in football, especially when they are in the bottom half of the league in scoring offense.
Where did you even find that? Sunday will show what they're made of...an improbable win and there may be hope. I hate being a doomsdayer, but I see little to get excited about...hope I have to eat my words! Back to an exceptional BB game
The pats beat the rest of the league at the same rate as the AFC East. Shoot the 3 other teams are starting 0-2.
Its pretty odd to suggest any division with the Pats is weak. They make the are responsible for 8 superbowl appearances in the last 17 years.
It tough to explain these sorts of thing to Seahawk fans. Math, logic and success are pretty foreign concepts to the stolen 12's.
Go sox,
