Well, the Hawks are miles ahead of where anyone expected them to be. They played the rams tough to the end both games this year (probably one of the best teams in the league), but for a couple of miss ques they could have won both games. With all the coaching and personal changes they are playing good football and they are not out of the playoff picture just yet.
Where does ESPN find these assholes? That guy Jason Whitten on MNF is every bit as annoying as Brock Huard! In fact I thought it was Huard when I first turned it on but this guy is loud, talks really fast and gets almost hysterical over some of the plays.
ESPN has a history of poor announcers on MNF but this guy is setting the bar really low. I still miss Dandy Don. He was calling that game in 1989 when Cincinnati beat Houston 61-7. At the end of the 3rd quarter the score was 52-0 when the camera focused in on a disgruntled Houston fan sitting alone in the stands. As soon as the guy realized the camera was on him he flipped it the bird. Meredith was all over it saying immediately: "Yeah, it's great to be Number 1!"
Who the hell is Booger, and more important, why do they have him strapped into a carnival ride? Did he win a contest on the Red Bull app? Apparently that's how they pick the announcers now. Modern times.
I think it can be easily stated that there is no other with the talent level of the MNF crew working games. I know it won’t be long before a team of broadcasters dethrone them!
But you can't win just that way. You have to have a good QB and have him protected. No running for his life all the time. If Wilson had time to look over the field he could be a fine QB. But he never has time to look.
I am 6 feet tall. I can go to concerts, on the floor, and do pretty well and see the show well.
Back in the old days, the one tall dude with big hair would cut in front and block my view. If they had an equally tall, big-haired buddy, it was over..scramble or see nothing.
Russell Wilson, unless he sits on someone's shoulders, or scrambles, is going to miss seeing the show on a field of giants!
I’ll eat some crow and admit the chickens are playing much better than I thought they would.
As a Niner fan it’s been a rough year. Starting RB out before it began and then JimmyG injury ends all hope. They are still playing hard and finding some good young talent, so that’s nice. Had a lot of hope Selah would get a good D going but they’ve lost 3 or 4 games on the final drive. Just good enough to lose....
Hahahaha. Yep, Gyrfalcon, i quoted myself. It’s the closest i can get to ‘liking’ my own posts! . And to clarify, my height is a hindrance fly fishing, not big hair! I never had big hair in the 80’s. Hahahaha. I think we’re getting off topic. Isn’t this the Seahawks thread?
Speaking of hair and the Seahawks. Did anyone see the Griffin twins on 60 Minutes last night? They are so damn adorable. I want to adopt them too!
If the Packers beat the Seahawks on Thursday night in Seattle, and the Los Angeles Rams beat the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday, the Rams will clinch the NFC West title.
Only one team since 1978 has clinched a division title in Week 11: The 1985 Chicago Bears.
YIKES! We have an emergency in our house right now! Our Smart TV has an X1 Connection problem and won’t power up. And i really don’t want to have to watch it in our little bedroom tv!
Hahahaha @Gyrlfalcon, will it help if i say i’ve Always had a crush on Aaron Rodgers too? Maybe that will jinx him!
Wilson has looked unlike himself lately, really do not hope we have seen his best days, but he has been making some plays that remind me of his rookie season, and not those of a seasoned All-Pro.
I feel like Chris Carson has watched hundreds of hours of Marshawn. He really reminds me of Beast Mode!.... However, given that Russell doesn’t look like Russell kind of surprises me the game is as close as it is.
