A hackled Comparadun; playing around with tying sequence. Supposedly eastern brookie bait; this should also work for cutts.

hook – Dai Riki 300 #10
thread - UTC 140 burnt orange/Danville 6/0 red
tail - deer hair dyed orange
body - peacock herl/red thread mid-section
wing - deer hair dyed orange
hackle - grizzly

Mash barb, start thread at hook point, wrap to bend

Clean, stack, measure (shank length) a small clump of deer hair; trim butts/tie in

Move thread to 3/4 mark; clean, stack, measure (hook length) a thicker clump of deer hair, trim butts/tie in

Pull back 1/3 of deer hair, tie down

And again, locking the wing in place

Thread switch; tie in peacock herl at tail

Wrap to point, tie off/trim

Create mid-section band

Repeat peacock herl; wrap to base of wing, tie off/trim

Tie in hackle, wrap, tie off/trim, whip finish, SHHAN

Trim hackle underneath (optional)
