I am getting 40 books made...One or two I am going to send to publishers...I know...probably a waste of time...but I woulkd love to have a reason to create more such fun books and maybe actually make some money at it...probably more likely than selling more paintings...After 45 years since first painting show...i think that is as good a bet as i got...short of actually trying to get a full time job...aaaargh! and commuting to it...double Aaaargh!
The books are $15.95...If anyone wants one...I would ship Priority and you would get it in 2-3 days...PM me if interested...
I just had a small printing edition done of my 40 page story in sketches called "The Ride"... i intend to sell some to recoup my printing costs...a fun little project that I may publish...Would like to do another little drawing book...germinating an idea
My Dad had a '55 Ford Custom, manual with 3 on the tree. Not nearly so nice as Stonefish's '54. It was a similar shade of blue, though only one tone. My Mom drove that '55 all the way from Seattle to Rolla, N Dakota and back, all by herself in '57, to attend her father's funeral. The clutch went out during the trip, on the way there, but she found a mechanic that got her on the road again. My Dad couldn't get the time off work to go with her, and my brother and I were in school. I was 6 at the time.
will be submitting this 6 page version of my little book to a Clark College publication as a participating alumni from 1974...the art department started a new program this year...A comic/graphic novel club and class... Wish that was available way back when...too fun!
it is a bit of a lark...A ride provides a "vehicle" no pun...to take to a creative destination...also no pun...It is an alegory of a life lived...music was always important , so is art, particularly the history of it..."Tin Funnel" the band is a little pipe dream...I always thought being a musician would have been cool...but I went another route...pun intended
Very cool, thank you for sharing, I think the word I'm looking for is sublime, there is alot stirring in there that I can't quite name or place, almost like images in smoke....
