Alot of local folks didn't agree with the threat of litigation by the advocacy groups. A very large sign was posted in Riggins telling of one such local group that they are not welcome. Alot of folks made phone calls and emails to these conservation groups to express how important it is for the local communities to keep fishing open for hatchery steelhead. That's what I was referring to as "push back" These groups weren't expecting much resistance I believe.Curious as to what the "push back" was and if the regulations have been modified in order to make this fishery happen.
The regulations have been modified, the one fish limit remains, as does barbless hooks. The only difference in regs I saw was the upper portions of the s.f clwtr were closed and a portion of Salmon river.
