To be a legitimate fly fishing bro, do you also need to be a heady skier?

If this can be believed it's the potential snow model for Montana between now and this coming Wednesday.

I really hope they're wrong on the 20+ inches!

My sons ride.

He can out ski me, its his bread and butter, but he has less than 10 yrs on a board.

I will work him into the trees and take all the right fall lines.
Dad plays smarter, not harder.

This thread needs bumped as the past couple of days have been incredible.

Keep those powder sticks handy as snow is in the forecast all week.

What a week of skiing. Snow every day since Sunday, mtns have a deep snowpack, and it is a complete mess around town. I love it.

Today was day 7 in a row and it looks like snowmaggedon is winding down. While some light clouds rolled in around lunch, we finally got a legitimate bluebird morning. One of the first of the year.

Gotta love those first tracks

They only posted 3"

Man, what a way to end what's been one of the better weeks of skiing I can remember.

With damn near 4' of snow the past week, we are seeing massive avalanches. This is Wilson Peak just north of Big Sky. Half the mtn ripped yesterday.

I've climbed that peak a couple times in the summer and then followed that ridge.
Gnarly slide...
The one that blocked 287 by Quake Lake gets honors though

Hell I am still remembering a 7 year old girl on roller blades and a cast on her left arm...She got into it on Mt Baker...her and her boyfriend...both took avalanche school and rescue training...i still worry about her a bit...but she is adventurous...and apparently highly skilled...
