Varivas Hooks - Any Comments?

Those are for their "paper thin - tissue paper light" extended bodied mayfly dry flies, that they like to tie over there.
The hooks are almost lighter in weight than tissue paper itself.

The answer to that is very subjective in regards to - style of fly, size of game pursued, and fishing conditions - all that being equal, to how and what they fish for - vs - your own experiences and pursuits.

I have some very similar hooks given to me, from a Japanese gentleman, for the purpose of tying their style of flies...they are very springy, but susceptible to bending. But then again, I am a heavy handed tyer. OH, and they are sharp as all get out...ask my thumb. ;)
