Some folks may not be familiar with the XPs today, and I’m not necessarily their greatest fan (preferring the even older RPLs a bit more). That said, I know that the 590 XPs were absolutely revered by some excellent fly casting gurus. Talking guys that can shoot some backing.
Just an FYI to prospectives, worth 2 scents.

Your post reminded me of Paul's XP review from eons ago, this guy can cast, and he now designs and builds rods. http://www.sexyloops.com/tackle/sagexp.shtml

Some nice heavy duty fly rods on the list.

Would love to know about your trade in program.
It's just like trading in a car at a dealership. Almost exactly, both pros and cons:
We will give you store credit for your 'trade-in' and you can spend it however and whenever you'd like at our store.
Just like trading in your car, I'm certain you could get more money by selling it yourself on eBay or here. But just like trading in your car, you don't do any of the work.
We obviously have standards and won't take just any old rod as a trade, but we aren't snobs about this either. Right now, we've got Fenwick, St. Croix, Sage, Powell, Scott, Loomis, Orvis, etc... in our trade in inventory.

If your interested in a good blue water Rod you might want to check out those two RPLXI rods. I have a 12wt 5 piece that is a great rod, Steve Abel tried to buy if from me last year. I would be all over that 14wt if I hadn't pick up a no name 14wt a few months back. These may be oldies and a little bit slow for some of you guys but for me they are great.
