Sage X: now in Living Color

Interesting.....but really nothing beats the classic sage brown color MHO.

Sage do this to coax sales of the X, not sure how it is doing in sales?
It might also be an attempt to attract female anglers, who are a large and rapidly growing but often overlooked segment of the market. Kind of like Scott's "Ladian" (Lady + Radian), although not as arguably tone-deaf as Scott's attempt.

I know the local Trout Unlimited is trying to turn itself from the "Old Boy's Network" image and be more inclusive of women.

Like that RPL brown, the Z Axis green, the Xi2 blue, the RPLXi maroon, but I like the LL blank color the most.

I really like the electric teal, amps me up a bit!

All along the Skagit Front
Salmon line up to receive
I’ve got the power in my hand
To shock her like you won't believe
Saw her in the Sound
With the voltage running through her skin
Swimming there with nothing on
She gonna teach me how to swim

Oh fish! Gonna shock you with my electric teal !!!

So corny. But you got to feel the electric teal!

I had the thought they were taking a cue from the growing fiberglass market where multiple colors are available for the same configuration of rod. Not sure, of course; just my first thought

Can't remember any graphite rod offered in a variety of colors, limited edition of not.

I wonder if the fish care. It would be interesting to do a field test using the different colored rods in the same weights and see if it makes any difference.... especially in clear water conditions.

(I know when I fail to catch LMB I blame it on the color of my Predator rod :D)
