8 weight butter stick for Pike?

I have been glass-curious for a while now, and since I am also looking for a pike rod for my wife, who has a very slow and deliberate casting stroke, I was thinking about getting the 8ft 8wt. Has anyone used this rod for throwing big streamers?

lol...

I haven't cast the the new Buttersticks, so I was trying to stay out of this one. I will say this though, my Epic Bandit is great for flies up to about 8" (and it's a 10wt!), and my primary big toothy rod is my TFO Mini Mag 300-400gr, it's just got more guts. I suppose that if you're not casting super big flies, then that 8wt might do ok. PersonaIy, I wouldn't use an 8 for that though.
