The Yakima between Easton and the up river dam has brookies. It has been 20 plus years since I have been there and Have no idea about access nor do I really remember how I got to it off I-90. A good map will serve you well,

Not in WA that I know of. I'm sure there are some some small streams that have them, but we're talking really tiny water and really tiny fish. The WDFW has made an effort to get rid of them since they can interbreed with native Bulls. (By "effort" I mean generally removed all harvest restrictions.)
Thanks !

Does anyone know a place within 100 miles, that an elderly person who can't hike way into the wilderness can fly fish for brook trout ? Pleas ? While I am still able to fish..?
How old is old. I'm 84 and still get out and around. But don't walk so good anymore. Plus I need a swift kick in the ass to get going.

Yeah,we are only as old as we think we are. So.. how about, where can we go to fly fish for any trout period within 1 hour of Olympia on a river.

To the original posting, October is last open month of season on many streams, but my fav month to fish trout in streams when others turn to chasing salmon
