While doing some yard work the other day I saw this spider hanging from the top of my yard waste bin. I walked by it and had to do a double take as it looked like a squid was hanging off the can! I’ve never seen this before so I thought I would share...

Many years ago I had a red legged tarantula. A very large female. The first time it moulted I looked in the terrarium and saw what I thought was my dead spider laying upside down. It was of course the moult laying there in one piece while the freshly skinned spider took refuge in her hollow log for a few days while her new skin dried.
