It's been a number of years since I last fished Chopaka. A friend from the east coast and I are planning on making the opener this year. As I've enjoyed the recent Chronomid thread (presentations, sizes, shapes, colors, photos, humor) thought I'd post to see if anyone had any advice to share. Thanks.

I fished it in May of last year (mid-month). the lake was clear of all ice (varies year to year).
it fished really great one day and then slow the next.
definitely worth fishing. they say to expect crowds, I did not encounter that.

enjoy - its definitely beautiful country. I hope to be back in May (as early as possible)
