I put all my stuff away about 10 years ago when the kids moved out and I didn't fish much. Since I'm the only one who sews anymore I'm going to switch hobby stations while we have some time. I currently just set up in an open space then break stuff down. I'm curious to see what others do while I still just have an empty space (sort of).
Recently got my new man cave put back together after the big move. Half the garage will suffice for a couple years until I can clear some land and build the dream cave. But for now it's plenty of space.

Mine is an embarrassing, cluttered mess. I do a lousy job of putting materials away as I go. My stuff is organized for reasonable storage, but once I get to tying, I end up with a pile of mixed materials in short order, and I'm usually slow to clean it up. Looks like it's getting to be that time....

Have had much larger tying benches, but all that means is greater chaos. Lots of materials stored in a large cabinet, and I bring out the stuff I need, which works fine, since I tend to focus on one or two patterns at a sitting. Plus, with the rolltop any mess gets hidden away.

I dunno about everybody else, but in our household my spouse is the neatnik, which increases to epic proportions if company is expected. If we had domestic help we'd be cleaning before their arrival, so as not to offend their delicate sensibilities.
As the humorist Dave Barry once noted "women can actually see dirt molecules, while men would only notice bacteria if they were the size of cocker spaniels".
