Walleye story

Stonefish

Triploid, Humpy & Seaplane Hater....Know Grizzler
This popped up in my news feed.
Interesting that the fish was tagged in 2009 at 23” and caught in 2020 was only 31”.
It doesn’t look very fat compared to some walleye I’ve seen and only grew 8” over 11 years.
For anyone who knows walleyes well, does that growth rate seem low? Maybe a lack of feed in that lake?

IIRC, Devil's Lake is one of the best walleye lakes in the Midwest. I heard it's one of the few with a freshwater shrimp population, and so the walleyes have pinkish flesh. But yeah, that growth seems slow.
