Interesting that you posted this variation today. I was planning on trying the original today with a purple thorax and a chartreuse thorax today for a Kenai trip tomorrow. There have been massive caddis hatches recently on the Kenai and a friend has been doing well on a purple haze. I am planning on a thin strip of tan foam under the congo hair for a little help with high riding in big water. Thanks for sharing this great looking fly.
