SBS Splitsville Spundun Emerger

Started out as a Lupton Emerger on different iron (the Model 28 provides a nice platform for the thorax/wing) but found the Spundun wing more of what I was looking for.

hook - WFC Model 28 #12
thread - Veevus 8/0 yellow
shuck - aftershaft
abdomen - biot yellowish tan
Loop - UTC 140 cream
hackle - grizzly (undersize by 1)
thorax - Ice Dub tan
wing - deer hair

Start thread at 2/3 mark, wrap halfway down bend

Measure (gap width) aftershaft; tie in

Tie in biot, brush shank with Super Glue, wrap; tie off/trim

Clean, stack, measure (hook length) a clump of deer hair; trim butts, tie in 1 eye width back from eye (tips facing forward) with 2 soft loops, spin
