FS Boston Whaler Montauk, 17 Ft Pic Heavy

Well, I can't believe I'm doing this but because of my age, covid, and other health issues, I am putting my Boston Whaler up for sale. I'm asking $9000 OBO. It has not gotten the use that it should. It's a 1978 hull although that makes little difference with Whalers. It has a 90 hp Mercury 4 stroke motor and a Mercury 6 hp long shaft kicker. Both boat and Caulkins trailer have clear titles as I have owned the boat for a dozen years. Until three years ago it was kept in a dry storage locker. PM me if you have a serious inquiry. The boat and trailer have had numerous up-grades since purchase as listed below:

.Complete tune-up 6 years ago with few hours on it.

.Complete re-wire 2015 Replaced fuses with circuit breakers, new lighting, and new bilge pump

.New trim switch 2018
.New Fuel lines and steering arm 2018
.New battery 2017 (?) I think with a battery charger/minder
.Danforth anchor w/extra rope and lines
.Life Jackets, paddle, and throw cushions per Coast Guard Regs

.Two Scotty crank downriggers with rotating bases, balls, and snubbers
.Several rod holders
.Cooler/seat

.Rebuilt with new axles, bearings, and wheels/tires 2008
.Ten Foot bunk rollers each side 2008
.Tongue extended 2 feet 2008
.New rear cross member

Thanks for reminding me of great memories. Our family had a 13 1/2’ and then a 17’ whaler growing up. Sorry you have to let it go. Someone’s going to get a great boat.

Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, save a few stains from leaves sitting in it, the interior is in great shape. I have taken good care of this boat inside and out.

Bumping on behalf of the universe. I am struggling to figure out where i could put it (finding reasonable cost Lake WA year round moorage options is like finding sasquatch). If not for that challenge would love to take a look at it.
