No picture, but today I caught a sea run cutthroat that had a reddish band down its side and other markings that screamed “cuttbow”. I have caught cuttbows before, and this looked like one, but have never seen one in the salt.
Has anyone else had this experience?

I posted about this back in October 2016 in the saltwater forum. The title of the thread was "Big SRC" , if I was more tech savvy I'm sure I could attach it here. Check the thread out, there's some decent photos and good insight by senior members
Indeed. But honestly I'm full up on src photos so have stopped carrying a camera.
Checked the holy texts (Stoll, Allen, et al) and found mentions of steelcutts/cuttbows in the salt, and I'm satisfied that it was/is one.
