Sea Run Cuttbow? Steelcut?

No picture, but today I caught a sea run cutthroat that had a reddish band down its side and other markings that screamed “cuttbow”. I have caught cuttbows before, and this looked like one, but have never seen one in the salt.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Edit: Just saw the other post about cuttbow life histories. Very interesting, and seems to suggest I’m not mistaken.

I posted about this back in October 2016 in the saltwater forum. The title of the thread was "Big SRC" , if I was more tech savvy I'm sure I could attach it here. Check the thread out, there's some decent photos and good insight by senior members
