Found pretty much all year round except when river is in flood stage. Primarily found in moderate to fast current on gravel and cobble. Cases of larvae are of ramshackle stone with a net of silk in the front of the case. Cases of pupae are constructed of small rocks. Larvae are 15-18 mm in length. Cases of pupae are 13-16 mm and pupae are 9-13 mm.
