Improved Trolling Motor Steering for Pontoon Boats

A quick "covid winter" project to improve trolling motor steering responsiveness. All it takes is dollar store poly cutting board ($8 -12) and some hose clamps or even zip ties. I made mine about 10 inches high. I had time on my hands so I tapered the back edge of mine - not sure that makes much difference at our speeds. I'm using the larger black one my Fish Cat Scout and find it requires less movement of the motor to change direction. The tracking seems more consistent. Friends with 9 ft Colorado XTs and 9 ft Fish Cat pontoons have found the same.
