Its a tarpon fly set back on the bend of the hook.

Trying the build-a-beast method. Hook is too small and it's got 60lb braid core. So maybe I'll just throw a swiash off the end and troll it for salmon.

4 inch, 7 shanks game changer. Took me way longer than I care to admit haha.
The blue schlapen didn't lay down on top as nice as I'd wanted but it's the only blue thing around.
Next one will be all black.

I actually did attempt to get it on video but only recorded the tail section then I got distracted had to stop. When I got back to the vise I thought I had hit record but actually did not just as well, would have took all night to edit anyway.

I have not tried it with a smaller fly, this is my first time trying the magic head. I'm sure it would work but probably less of an effect due to smaller size and mass.
