Trip Report Sunday morning rain

Spent most of the day in the same room with my wife yesterday, and although we were reading she asked in a certain voice, "Are you going fishing in the morning". Twist my rubber arm. I've been reading and had a good stoke up to go throw soft hackles.

So I headed out in the on and off rain. I was as wet above as in my boots by the end of the morning.

And I found some little fish.

But something was wrong. Should be something else about. Then a saw a couple noses. So I changed rigs.

Cast to the rises

And find what I thought should be there

Got to see this eat well and called it a morning.

Some Syl methodology is good for the soul. Have all his books so if you’re in need of one for winter doldrums let me know.

Thanks. I've got the condensed version from wet flies by dave hughes. I'm now trying to get some more insight to go with my recent experiences.

I felt cooler just reading about you fishing in the rain. I'm not sure which I would have enjoyed more! Thanks for sharing.
