Trip Report It’s nymph o’ clock

Today was my second outing to the upper lewis. Decided to head down river from where I parked today and made the decision to dry fly my way down about three miles and nymph my way back to the truck.
Had a few takes on the dry, mostly smaller trout.

After finding a nice deep hole to switch it up in I tied on a brassy and started nymphing my way back and was rewarded for the tackle change. I primarily used a brassy and a prince nymph on my way back up river and was met with a native rainbow or two in almost every run I threw my fly into. All takes on the nymph where trout all over 14”. I caught sight of a few 20”+ trout but wasn’t able to entice them into an afternoon snack. Even caught a few big ol’ whitefish

Nice work. Which Loop Multi is that one? I borrowed a 4-wt (can’t recall the length, but think it was 8’-6”) from Chris Schoones on this site when they had a gear program about 14 years ago. Loved the action on that rod and been casually looking for one ever since.

It’s a 9ft 5wt! It’s got some pretty good backbone to it.
It’s funny, all my friends who have fished with me never seem to have heard of the Loop brand before for some reason. You’re actually one of the first people I’ve talked to that recognizes it.

Great stick in my opinion and harder to find than it should be. Curious which model(s) have taken it’s place over the years in Loop’s lineup. Probably time to do a little digging! Tight lines!
