Fishing Around Bumping Lake?

#1
How is the fishing in this area? I would like some information of any rivers, streams, etc. nearby, what works there, and how the lake fishing is.

Thanks

Fish the naches anywhere below whistlin jack lodge. great little river. You wont catch a ton of lunkers, but decent dryfly action and one of the more scenic rivers in the state. Of course that is just my opinion.

...and I'll second that opinion, :thumb:

As a FYI, there is a stretch of Deep Creek (flows into Bumping Lake) that is closed...probably for bull trout protection. I tried to get to the stretch above the closure earlier this Summer but the FS Road was closed. Could have hiked it but we chose to go exploring in the late afternoon and didn't give ourselves enough time to get it done. Deep Creek, at least on the middle section, looked very inviting.

This area went to hell in a hand basket in recent years. Now their talking about increasing the size of Bumping lake from 1,300 surface acres to 3,500 surface acres....keep the destruction coming I guess. If it's any consolation, they are putting fish ladders on the dam if this goes through.- Shouldn't this have been done 50 years ago?
