@#%^ Spankin' - Don't Bother Reading

Alarm went off way too damn early today. I forgot to turn it off because today I was off work. Well, my gear is all in a pile and ready, might as well go fish. I'm afraid of the Chickadee Creek shitter that might fall into the creek if it floods or gets hit by a car. I know a few other places to check for some @#$^. Pulled in before daylight, rigged up, stepped in ankle deep and could see some groups moving not far out. Cast one ignored. Cast two ignored. Cast three, third time is a charm. I thought @#$^ were not good jumpers, but this buck was 10-12# and quite acrobatic. Nice to greet you, have a nice day.

Since my fly "cabbage fly" was shredded I tied on another. Cast one, nada. Cast two, el mismo. Cast three, are you kidding me? Tight line again. This one was on for a bit, no acrobatics, burly one, took a lot of line. LDR'd this one after a few minutes, fly was intact, got it back in the game quickly. A few casts later another fish on. This one also seemed pretty beefy. After another mintue or two this one broke me off. Drat.

New "cabbage fly" (a term applied to flies that I tie becasue I've recently been told how bad they suck...in case you were wondering what that meant). A few more casts, another strike that pulled back then nothing. I moved down a bit, a few more casts and bam. Another fish on, this one was beefy too and I was hoping that if my 12# held up that I'd be happy to call it a day because it was getting a bit windy and the . A few minutes later with a tail splash in my face as my forceps relieved the hook from that toothy jaw I was smiling big and headed to my rig.

I met my wife and youngest for breakfast out, ran a few errands. Collected my chum swap flies from Kerfwappie, ran some more errands. Built a new bed for my eldest and everyone in the house think I'm pretty damn cool right now. It was a pretty good day, but alas, all the @#$^ are long gone. Better tie up some flies for the next pink run...

I told you not to bother.

Ha ha at the comment mumbles about the shitter at chico"You are spot on about being hit by a vehicle though." to quote you in my last thread Let it go Babbles I did. Over 5,700 post in a year! My new name for you is babbles...
Anyway a report for everyone went to Mission Cr. which dumps out in Belfair State Park. It gets a Chum run and a small silver run as well. Best time is an out going tide. Just pull into Belfair state park and you will see where to go from there. I have a lot of other places where I know chum frequent- so if you want to know just ask me. I thought about it and why should I not give a report? Hell this is my last year up hear and I have a lot of places to tell about. Oh yea, It was a good to fish w/ T. and B. the other day out at Chico. Chico btw was very slow again- nothing more frustrating than fish cruising and not being able to get any takers.
