50/50 glass carbon fiber grip

This handle is also a carbon fiber skin grip but is a 50/50 blend of carbon fiber and fiberglass. It is a wee bit heavier than the straight carbon fiber but still VERY light. This is a brown and black almost snakeskin weave. This was the first attempt with this material. I am going to do a fenwick grip for a bamboo restoration with this and thought I would do this first.

I have done the straight carbon fiber before and have head about the kevlar sleeving. I have also heard that it is a lot stiffer and harder to work with than either of these material. You can also do it with straight fiberglass sleeving and use pigments to color it to what you want.

That looks like straight fabric. I use sleeve material. It Resembles the old chinese finger toys in construction so It just slides over the turned foam core center.
