Cheff I can relate to that I been laid off for a year. I think we could fit your pontoon in the back of my pu. along with our gear,we could split the ferry cost. If not this time maybe down the road.

Chef.....stay away from guys like Scott and Ira....they will take you to the DARK SIDE.....and then it will consume you. :ray1:

Well, as long as you keep making cookies I guess it's ok. :thumb:

Go for it Chef! I've had some of my best fishing "watching the bobber"!

Some will say it's boring. I've never considered catching fish after fish boring.

Some say it's not true flyfishing. My response, look up the phrase "true flies" and tell me what you find.

I'm not a diehard chirono fisherman but when the midges are hatching and the fish are feeding on them, I'm going to be watching my bobber.
Watching my bobber disappear!

I could not make it to lone when everyone was there due to a kitchen remodel. but i went the next weekend and did well just starting to finish the job up and the wife is happy i might try to get away.and do some chrino fishing i have fished martha lake before if it is the one on 164th i was there a few days after they stocked it the dock was full if guys pulling out 6in fish and tossing them in to 5gal buckets one after another i only got one 18in on my 4wt but had a lot of bumps close to shore 8-10 ft of water blood worm it would be nice if we could have a c&r lake in the city. I might make it out. If not good luck!!!! also i went to the dark side last year when i picked up my pram i love it.

Hey guys, I hate to state the obvious, but there are two Martha Lakes in Snohomish County. I believe the one on 164th(Alderwood Manor) is closed. Sorry, I just don't want someone to end up somewhere scratching their head.:hmmm:

Greggor,

Pulled out the regs and you are right , Martha lake on 164 was Last Sat. in Apr.-Oct. 31 . And IS closed right now....

Chef,

I am open to suggestions on alternatives, blackmans, pitch in on ferry and catch lone or pass? I know there are also other local lakes but cant think of any other names at the moment....

I had the same conversation about the two Snohomish Martha Lakes with Chef a few weeks back. He made it clear to me that he was talking about the Warm Springs Lake Martha (northwest of Marysville/Tulalip), which is open year-round.

Ok Chef, have some loaner fins, and a supply of chironomids from Scotflycst :) as well as I will be tying a mess of bloodworms tomorrow to split with you. I will get my float tube out and ready tomorrow so it is all set for early departure on sunday morning.

I thought the 164 Martha was closed, but I was too lazy to look it up and I just assumed that you guys were smarter than me. Good luck Sunday, I'm an every other weekend fisherman with my wife's work schedule until my boy is old enough and willing enough to fish with me in the cold and wind.

Good luck! Reports!

Ira..
