I found a fly rod and reel on June 4th in lake Chopaka. Describe location and rod and reel. Looks like it may have been in the lake awhile

I lost a sage 586-2 and sage 505L reel in the back area off the first point after the big trees you go thru where land comes together as you go to the back. Gary

Yes several year before that I don't remember exactly when but it was when I had my black lab who has since passed, if that is the rod and you can read the serial # I might be able to get it from sage. I was the original owner of the rod.

So what do you think is what I lost what you found? if it's still usable, which I dought I would give a finder fee.
Earl, the point Trip was trying to make was the initial post was from June 2011. The person who posted, Donato, hasn't even been on the board since July 2016. So if he doesn't reply right away, or ever, that is probably why. So just be patient, or try to contact Donato via a private message and you might have better luck. Regardless, while I hope you get your rod back, considering you lost it 17-18 years ago, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Take care,
Mike

Donato will likely be active on this board once the central WA lakes open up. He's been seen a couple weeks ago on a different hunting board.

No worries I did not understand that the person who replied back to me wasn't the person who found the rod. I am sure many rods have been lost in that lake, and mine was in the deeper water, it is unlikley it is mine and I'm pretty darn certain it is no good, I would not blame somebody for throwing it away, I wouldn't keep it. I just thought if it was mine it would be cool to hang on the wall.
