New Henshaw - One For The Trouts...

#1
Here's a new Henshaw 1912 Perfect, this time in a format never actually made by Hardy. It's a little 2 3/4" trout model with a red agate line guide. Amazing how Chris squeezed the lever check mechanism in there. A 3wt line fits just perfect with about 50yds of 20lb backing. A WF4 would probably go in if the backing was switched to 12lb but I might have to cut a bit off the back of the line.

I have two new bamboo rods coming this June, and 8' 3wt by Robert Hoffhines and a 9' 4wt by Bob Clay. This reel should work very nicely on either stick.

A couple shots with the big brother 3 1/2" wide body:

Hi Mark-

Unfortunately, I don't own any Kineya reels, although I'd like too... I've come close to buying a Kineya a couple times but never could find one that I thought would match a rod better than a Perfect/St George/Bougle of some sort.

I'm pretty much 100% British other than a few modern US reels for the salt or loaners.

T.

Does this mean you're selling your Kineyas?:D
