Don't bother On the stilly

Nothing blows like leaping to wild conclusions. What are the time and area of this fishery? The Stilly Tribe does less gillnetting than just about any tribe I know of. Unless something's changed significantly, why all the crying?

Sg
No, nothing's changed. While there are certainly bad co-managers out there, the Stillaguamish Tribe is not one of them. Without a doubt, they care more about that river than "our" co-manager and the State of Washington does.

I quit fishing the Stilly once I heard there were wolves in the area.
They've been know to chase anglers downstream where they get caught up in gill nets. Once you are stuck in the net, you'll never get out due to your lanyard, nipper zinger, studded boots, strap on wading staff and ascot getting tangled in the net.
Stay away...you can never be to safe.

True story, this is why I stopped wearing an ascot when I fish.

It still cracks me up that everyone wants to call me ignorant for MY opinion. I could care less what's right or wrong and what the treaty spells out to a T. it's MY opinion and All the, "Educated" folks on here wanted a chance to show they've looked up judge Boldt on the Internet once and pretend to be well versed in native American relations. My opinion wouldn't even had been posted if everyone would have taken the thread for what it was, letting people know the stilly will most likely be slow for the weekend.
And don't worry, I'll try to work on my grammar for future fishing forum posts since it has everyone's panties in a bunch.

He's got a good point. Opinions can't be ignorant. Only facts can do that. And Hitler. Fuck Hitler. That's MY opinion anyway.
Stalin too. And Pol Pot.

(Grammatical errors in the text above are intentional for the purpose of underscoring MY distaste for Marxist dictators of the mid-20th century).

I havent been in washington long, so I cant speak to the politics of tribal netting. But in all of this I truly think that the real importantance here isnt indian rights or a fishermans equality but the effect both are having on the populations of adronomous fish. Both are equally guilty and its sad. I hope that things can change or one day we will all look back with regrets.

Why's it got to be "panties" in a bunch? Why not "boxer shorts" or "bananna hammocks" or "Jock Straps"? You racist and sexist too?
