Recently bought seven and one half ft Reddington rod for small stream fishing, Don't have a light reel to match. Does anyone have a small, light, and preferably inexpensive reel for sale that can accomodate a DT3F line and 25 yards of backing. Thank you in advance for all help.

I'd bet that you end up using the rod in more than "small stream fishing". I'd try and double the backing amount as three weights are very versatile and can be used on more than small waters. I have a 3 wt that I use infrequently and have caught up to 20 inch fish on it. Really bends the rod.

I heavily use a 3 wt on the Driftless streams here in WI. Never needed backing or really wish for more rod. Had it listed for sale on here and glad that it did not sell, favorite rod now.

I have a small Okuma Carina, brand new, never used includes backing.

Guys, thank you for the responses. Have gone ahead and made a purchase from another board member. Am looking forward to hitting my favorite small streams in the Methow late this summer.
