Hook and Hackle has kits they will donate to your program. We are building our donated rods as we speak.

Jerry - thanks I have 5 builders building out the PHW kits from Hook and Hackle - since we work with about 20 - 24 vets per year under the SHARES program in the Sheppard Spinal Center for PTSD and TBI (Brain injuries) I need buy additional kits - plus when a vet finishes a rod we outfit them with a reel and line - the article in Fly Fisherman outlines what our group is doing -

I've been with PHWFF for about 6 years and another year as a Red Cross group before PHWFF picked up out program. I help run the NW programs as one of the lead volunteers. I also run the national PHWFF Facebook page. We had over 12 vets wrapping rods. I know they can get more to you or sell you sets at huge discounts. If you go to our NW PHWFF page on Facebook you'll see our photos from our rod build. But I work directly with the regional coordinator at our JBLM WTB. Not sure how directly you are in contact with your regional coordinator. They should be able to hook you up.

BTW our Red Cross group originally started in the OTC working with TBI. In fact the Evergreen Hand started with or program with the man who first started the group.

Jerry - our regional director has been a big help with our budget, working with PTSD and TBI vets has made a big difference on how I view things- these guys are fighting a battle within themselves and anything I can do to help is worth every effort - I have a line in with a manufacturer that is really helping us out - check out our web page at FLYFISHINGFORVETS.COM -- really glad to see you have a great program going - this is my 7th year - the first years were with fly fishing for vets and then we picked up a PHW chapter and developed our program

runner - 'Power Matrix' should be on the tube end cap plate and the embedded logo above the grip. Otherwise your description matches my 864-2 version that I enjoy.

Sounds about same timeframe. We're working with all spectrums, from TBI, PTSD, and of course physical wounds from IED's, gunfire, etc. We've made quite a few breakthroughs too. I've been taking the guys on the water since pre 9-11, but upped it after the War on Terror started. Then when Jesse Scott wanted to start our program up, I was all in all those years ago.

Unless you have a local rod builder giving you super big discounts, your RC should be able to buy up whole kits ready to go from H&H about cheaper then anywhere (some were cheaper then I can get through my business discounts). Will help you spread your money, that's for sure.
