The Buddug (Welsh name for Boadicea - the fabled Celtic warrior-queen) is a seatrout pattern. Just like the Celts - seatrout love the vivid black, red and silver.

Thread: Benecchi 12/0, black
Rib: Wire, fine silver
Body: Mylar, flat silver
Underwing: Glo-Brite #4
Wing: Bronze mallard barbs - sparse
Hackle: Hen, dyed black

If the collar feather was purple, it would work as a SRC pattern in Oregon. With that in mind, I think I'll tie up a couple.

Thank you Hans. I don't know why I have not been securing my rib with tinsel, but I will begin using this trick.

Nice sea trout fly. I will put a few in my box as well.
