Thanks for the interesting article.

These Coho runs stage and then push into the creeks after these big Fall rain events so possibly these fish receive the highest exposures to the toxin runoff events following a dry spell.

All the more reason to fix these vehicle leaks!

I wonder if smolts have a tougher time of it for survival all year long through Spring runoff events. After all, pollutants have to build up on the roads, especially in a dry spell for a month, then, whoosh! A sudden surge of nasty stuff working it's way to creeks in massive concentrations can't be good for the little young guys either.
