A little Arkansas action

I spent all last week in Arkansas fishing the wild brown spawn on the Little Red River in Heber Springs. It's the tailwater for Greers Ferry Dam and where I learned to fly fish. The first two pics are of the same fish and are representative of what we were catching all day long (16-21"). The second two pics are of the last fish of the week for me, also the largest I've pulled in on a fly rod. 29.5" and about twenty minutes of fight on my 5wt with 5x.

Jay, that is great! I also learned to fly fish when I was living in Fayetteville for 10 years. At the time the world record brown was from Arkansas; they grow into fat pigs feeding on those scuds. I have very fond memories of the tail waters there and up in Missouri.
