Don't Call Me Sally!

Also known as Tunkwa Lake Black, this pattern works well in the smaller sizes, 14's and 16's, if you call that small! I tie them right up to 10's but the smaller ones account for more fish. Adding a little chartreuse to a pattern can change success rates in low light and low visibility conditions.

The name cracked me up, but I knew the fly before it was even sally, back in the day it was just the black and red. I would love to tie this with just a little bit of orange fabric paint on the sides for buds a la gunslinger style . In fact I'll play around with one tonight.

Irafly,
A couple years ago Brian Chan guest hosted SFOTF for an episode at Summit Lake in the Kootenays. On that episode the hot chronie was burgundy and grey and Brian was using the Guns n' Roses pattern and afterwards he suggested I tie some with UTC70 Hot Orange for a collar and of course he was right, they work great.

The hook is a Hanak 300BL Gold.
