Them there Labs look like red foxs!

Those are Chesepeak Bay Retrievers.

Those are Labradors not Chessies.

Lots of people think they are Chessies because of their light brown color. Some of the light color is genetic, some of it is from all the swimming and sun. Put them next to a Chessie and you can see the differences: flat coat rather than kinky, stouter legs, blockier head, more blunt muzzle. They came from a registered chocolate lab female from the Dalles and a chocolate lab male whose owner didn't come through with papers.

Great dogs. The female is my best girl friend ever. I'm remorseful that I'll probably outlive her.
