I have been getting pumped about my late May annual camping/fishing trip and just found out the road in to the lake has been closed due to a road washout.....I’m REALLY BUMMED.
I have ten days off and the trailer loaded....but don’t know where to go...what may be a good alternative .... looking...
Based on a fly from Bojan Novakovic. A beautiful tie, his used guinea for the tail and a sparse wing; I subbed hackle fibers for the tail to improve floatation and a few more turns of Mearns (very similar to guinea but better suited for smaller flies than the guinea I have) to beef up the wing...
A little different shellback, to improve durability; wrapping it with the rib would work, too.

hackle - grizzly dyed hot orange (undersize by 2)
This one borrowed some genetic code from the Skip Nymph. Quick & dirty version, using butts from tail/shellback for legs.
