Saved money deciding NOT to spend money on another fly rod, soooooo.....how do you guys feel about using an inflatable kayak (maybe a Hobie i11) on the Hood Canal? I currently don't have a boat and would like to open up more water for SRC.

Any day here is better than being in a hot stuffy house full of awkward people. Amazingly, one fish to hand, on a 1" Sculpin pattern.

Hello all, I don't post much but do a lot of following along and reading of the saltwater thread on here. I got out to my cabin on the Hood Canal this last Sunday (10/15) to enjoy what looks like one of the last warm sunny days we'll see for awhile... When I got there at about 2:30 things were...

Didn't realize that commercial fishing in Hood Canal was prohibited pre-Boldt. I remember hearing stories of healthy runs of steelhead, coho, etc into most Hood Canal rivers into the early 80s, and couldn't understand what had changed so dramatically if the Canal had been subject to intensive...

Ever have those weird days when you're just happy nothing really bad happened? Yeah, that's me today. I hit the Canal this morning in the boat. Went to a spot I've always wanted to try. Fairly long run to get there. Well, evidently it's not a secret as there were 2 recreational boats and a...

Hey guys, I'm still pretty new here and have yet to catch a fish on the fly. I've been trying in the saltwater off the beaches around Kitsap since I got here and it seems like I've finally figured out how to find fish (it's taken me the better part of a year here to get to actually see fish...
