I'm planning on flying out to Oregon i May or June and hoping to catch the salmonfly hatch. I will be fishing the lower Deschutes and the McKenzie. Can anyone fill me in on when this hatch occurs? Also, is it limited to only certain streams?

A few sea runs have made it up the rivers. A couple were likely residents as they were much darker in color, but probably landed 10 fish over 12" for the trip. The best fish was a nice 15" hooked jaw male - of course I didn't have the camera with me then. But great scenery and few fish to boot.
