With the posting of the Lefty Kreh letter topic, a few days ago, I thought I'd look up another legendary flyfisherman and see how she was doing. The great Joan Wulff, partner of the legendary Lee Wulff. Great article on her as she approaches 90 years old, and how she has been a huge part of...

I can no longer view my digital copies of the magazine on my IPAD. When I call the help number they say leave a message and we will call you back. Needless to say, nobody has ever called back. Are they still in business?? At the very least I would like to have my digital copies back.

Bought these to fish some super slick water but never made the trip- these are absolutely brand new, never even tried them on. If you've never heard of them, they give you epic traction on gnarliest water- could honestly save your life. Soft aluminum bars grab any nook for a secure hold. Paid...

Went up to Leech Lake on Wednesday and the road into the campground was still closed. There is a bit of snow still in the campground, but it is melting quickly: The launch area is all clear, but soggy from all the snow melt: In the campground area there were lots of trilliums blooming...

So, I needed a day off to rest up, do too the wife and her mom for a drive. It was a beautiful day. Stopped in Morton at Spiffy's for a burger and shake, then in we went. Stopped for a few pictures. Then walked into the lake for a few casts from shore. I HATE WIND. But as it turned out a friend...

Hey. What can I say. I like antique fly gear. I have an old LP 3. It balances great on my clunky old rods from the 80's and 90's. I would like to buy three more Lamson LP 3's. Kirkland/Kenmore area. Cash.

I've been tying steelhead flies, nymphs, or lake flies for a long time but I noticed my Montana boxes were getting a little thin so I decided to tie some drys. I did four #16 BWOs, parachute and regular, and they were icky....fishable but not pretty. I thought about it for a long while and...

Took a fall at the end of the summer and my RPL 3wt wound up under my foot. I have used this rod for over 12 years and lovingly called it my baby. I took the broken pieces to Bainbridge Island where the people at Sage found a new blank and made good on their warenty at no cost to me. Love...

I'm doing some end-of-summer cleanout and came across a Cortland 5wt multi-tip system. Running line with 4 tips: full floating, 2 different sink tips (fast and slower), and an intermediate ghost tip. Comes with a nice little pouch for the tips. I probably used this 6 times a decade or more ago...

One for sure, possibly two. If you have a boat that sits an angler front and rear and you're available to row September 10th, would truly appreciate it.

  17. Good still water for small ponds

This from my experience works good on small ponds. I havent been to a lake with it but I would guess that it would work fairly good.
